I Am Rahab: A Novel Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 80 ratings

What happens when a young girl is abruptly taken away from everyone and everything she knows?

When the comforts of a Bayou home are pulled from under the feet of young Rahab Auguste, she must rise above and face the challenges on the streets of the South Bronx. Discovering family secrets withheld from her, Rahab embarks on a journey down a path she never saw coming, with a mother she never knew.

I Am Rahab: A Novel - Part I is a coming-of-age tale cleverly depicting the biblical account of Rahab the prostitute before the fall of Jericho, as told through the present day story of Rahab Auguste. This multi-generational fictional story is the first in a three-part series chronicling the life of Rahab as she discovers the truth about life, the pain of death, and the meaning of survival.

Life rotates in cycles, and if you’re not careful you can end up on a road not meant for you to travel. For a young girl plagued by her family's past, her path is just beginning.

From the Author

I Am Rahab: A Novel is a book born of my spirit. Writing this story was therapy for me while I cared for my mother.  Mommy has since passed, but her spirit lives on in the pages and characters that were birthed from my desire to escape the reality of watching her decline. It is my hope that in reading this book you all find comfort, identity, and interest to require further of humanity in the biblical age. Enjoy!

A pleasant suprise.A must read. I am Rahab touches all your emotions from joy to pain. JC Millers adaption of I am Rahab explores pain and joy in a family stricken by trials triumph. It was a page turner for me. I could not put it down and found my self looking to see whats in store for Rahab next. Well written. Definately a best seller Novel. The way JC introduces each character allows you to form a relationship with each character so much so that you sympathize and have compassion for them. Once introduced to Rahab she stays on your mind. I found myself wanting to know what she was doing. A great read!.

This story crossed the multi generations of the Auguste women. Charlotte and Mary Magdalene, Puah and than Rhahab. We read about the good, the bad the ups and the downs. It showed what these women went through in their lives. I was pulled in from the beginning and couldn't stop. I was hurt, mad and wanted better for them, but that is life. What these women did show was their strength and what needs to be done to keep on moving. Rhahab was the youngest in this story, but still had some experiences kids shouldn't have. This was my first book by this author and I cant wait to read part two!!! Great story, great story!!!
